July 25, 2016 - Just before 0800 hours on Monday morning, Stations 12-1, 26-1, and 26-2 were dispatched to a smoke condition inside a Commercial Building in Englishtown. Units arrived on scene to find light smoke showing from the rear loading dock of the warehouse. Upon investigation, it was determined that a chemical reaction was taking place inside of a storage hopper. The Monmouth County Hazmat Team was requested to respond. Units operated for several hours until the situation was brought under control. Assistance was also brought in from Monroe Station 57, Station 16-1, and South Old Bridge Fire Department.
